Minor update today. No more work done but the postman came again! biggrin.gif

Should have a running system soon. I am going to set it up on the bench with an old HDD and the stock Intel heat sink to run prime95 for a bit to check everything and get some stock numbers. Will do that on the weekend if i get time.

Anyway-

I love this pump top! biggrin.gif

Primochil Rigid Ghost fittings with Bitspower rotary 90 degree extenders. Primochill's 'Nickle plated brass- black' is a match for Bitspower 'black sparkle'. thumb.gif

And a quick test with a rigid tube (Without the compression ring). Doing this so I can line the top rad up to drill the holes in the right place on the case roof. This rigid tube will go straight up to it from the bottom rad alongside the tube res. Should look sweet.

I also have the EK GTX780 waterblock and backplate. They are SEXY. thumb.gif
That will be one of the last things i do, as i need to take the card and the SSD from the rig I'm using now. Trying to minimize the time I'm without a gaming rig!

Made some progress today. smile.gif

I am going to mount my top radiator using some brackets I made out of 3mm thick aluminium. This will allow me to mount it to the top of the case without using the stock 120mm fan mounts. Instead the rad mounts to the bracket, then the bracket mounts to the top edges of the case with M4 allen head screws.

First I tapped the radiator to M4.

These are the brackets. Not perfect but they are mostly hidden from view anyway. They have since been primed and painted white (drying as i type)

And these are the the brackets mounted. Using countersunk screws on the far edges as these bits are flush with the case, the middle ones are not. Hard to explain but its all on video and will be uploaded soon.

Here is the rad brackets, back plate and floor plates. Holes and cuts made for the cabling in the back plate.

Tidy enough for me. I may get some sleeved ones eventually. Maybe.

I also cut the mesh for the front. Not sure if I am going to run with this yet. Its silver now but it as well as the grey plastic trim will be sprayed black tomorrow.

After designing all sorts of mounts and almost buying one for $25, I worked out how I'm going to mount the pump. Simple. Use two of these mounts bolted straight to the back plate. Should do the job (I hope)

More tomorrow. Thanks for looking!thumb.gif

I'm not sure how I missed this build before but I like it a lot! and some how it seems as though you and I are on the same train of thought about A LOT of the ideas you are putting into this haha. i was thinking about back lighting portions of my build as well haha. but thats much farther down the line than yours is.

looks great so far. keep it up! thumb.gif

Sorry for the bad pics- busy all day and now there is no light. Plus my camera makes the lighting much brighter than it really is.

Painted the plastic trim and grill on the front black. I will remove the decals on the fans and I may put the original corsair badge back where it was on the stock front.

Finalized the back lighting and soldered all the cabling for it. Mounted the pump as well.
