not a terrible controller all in all. I have relied on this model for the last couple of years in RAID 6 which it seems to have perfromed ok.

recently it suffered from a bit of split brain which was hit and miss. It's linux support is not too bad.

I've also gone on to use it in JBOD which is poorly documented much less talked about in any of the support literature or support despite it being touted as a major feature with the card.

I also at times have had issue with the card seemingly throttling itself to about 9MB/s which when youre dealing with 7TB transfers, turns into significant delays.

I'm soon to be trying out a 24 port Areca 1882ix which i'm told is much quicker flexible and most importantly has far better support.

I also own several Highpoint 2320's and a 2340 and dont go near that generation if you want RAID 6 support or Linux support.
