Yeah, SR2's story was still somewhat grounded in reality. You basically had gangs killing each other and a pretty interesting plot actually thrown into the midst of it. SR3 was the dev team realizing the strength of their game; action, humor, and off the wall crazies. They took that and ran with it. SR4 is the epitome of this craziness along with spoofing other games, songs, movies, and cliched storylines in general while giving a fond nod towards what made the SR franchise great. For people looking to buy the game, remember this:
- It is not GTA.
- It is NOT serious. Don't expect it to be.
- Just think of when you were a kid and wished you had super powers. Now the world is your oyster, you have super powers, so GO CRAZY!
