LSI 9261-8i BBU not charging

Thread Starter
I emailed LSI and it turns out is is functioning normally and doing what it was programed to in order to extend the life of the battery. http://mycusthelp.info/LSI/_cs/AnswerDetail.aspx?&inc=8301

How long does the learn cycle last? Because I have seen the BBU discharge once and recharge again over about 2 days. And now it is discharging slowly again. But like 1-2% a day. Even tho it says it is charging.

Heres pics:

Yesterday it was at 65%. The day before it was 66%.

Is that normal. I don't remember my PERC BBU taking this long for a relearn cycle.

Thanks.

I guess that would explain why mine doesn't behave like that. My firmware version is 2.130.363-1846 (build time of Aug 24, 2012). The latest firmware on lsi.com is 4.10 P2, but the link you shared says this was added in firmware 4.8. Doesn't make sense, but what does make sense is I'm probably running an older firmware than you.

Firmware of a RAID controller is one of those things that you don't fix unless it needs fixin'. Unless I can find new features in newer firmware that I want to use, or a bug is fixed that I am experience, I will stick with what I have.

Glad you got it all figured out though!
