They probably don't if they have already made for you card, I assume they would save the blue prints. However, there are so many different cards, that they have to physically match it to your card. Heck, a single MM bigger VRM chip over stock means a completely different card design.

I'd get a random aluminium heatsink (from and old motherboard, for instance) cut it to fit the gfx card and then use thermal tape.

My Sapphire card has a different heatsink for the VRMs, so I could change the heatsink, drop the WB in, and keep the VRM heatsink.

If I were still going to use a non reference card that didn't have the option of a full cover block, I'd he doing something similar.

I'd buy a heatsink that could covrr the rest of the card with a little modification and strap a 40,80, or 90mm fan on that with zip ties.

But... google chrome? Okay.

Google chrome translates.

Even if you passed out with Google Chrome's built in Google Translate plugin - you'd need to do some digging with the workmanship of liquidexctacy. A fellow member here on OCN - adi(i believe) frequently found on the Z77 Mpower, Fractal threads - showed off the rather poor workmanship of LE's blocks. Sure you have the additional option of adding nickeling tot eh block for a small fee but the end result is miles away from their picture. In fact the pic would mean that they either made a block with all their effort and tried to sell it to folks only falling short on their commitments or they just photshopped the prototype block.

So to sum up - they charge alot more, you'd need to send the card with your pocket money and it'll mean running off IGPU for 6+weeks(if shipping screws it up) so getting a fullcover block made for a particular GPU that is easily aviable or easy to make without donating your hardware is the key route...most people would just get a reference card and overclock it to the marketed OC edition cards.

*FYI - EK have already started rolling out their full cover blocks for the D CU II lineup of Asus cards. So that should be most peoples meal tickets to eye candy! biggrin.gif

^ sorry for the post bomb - thought I should clear tings up witht eh non-reference/custom block issues.

**FYI - if you're interested in MIPS - they went out of business just like DangerDen frown.gif
