Reason why no DX10 right now, is because i got a great deal on the msi 7950gx2 for $200 from a buddy.. was curious to know if it can run most games or all, with max reso on 30"' lcd on high settings.

8800s are the best possible cheap solution right now. from what ive seen the future holds some serious reqiarments such as for dx10 i read the minimum configureations in games in the future are 2 7800gtx's in SLI im going sli next week!

Well I would say a $200 GX2 wins then

And yes.. upgrade to it, if your case will move the heat it will generate, and you have a PCI-E plug for it in your PSU. I wouldnt bother if you dont have 550W of a PSU and have to use Y-Cables to "Make" a PCI-E connector for it.. if thats the case, consider buying a PCI-E ready PSU and include that in the price, you will really need dedicated power for that rail if you are going to push the 7950 to run a 30".

And since you didnt put up specs as to what it's going into, make sure you dont drop this into an OEM PC. Like a Dell/HP/Etc.. unless you KNOW it is a PCI-E X16 slot, this card will NOT RUN otherwise.

I tried it in a Dell Optiplex 620 that ran a 7600GT just fine, and it woudlnt even boot with a GX2 in it.
