And yes.. upgrade to it, if your case will move the heat it will generate, and you have a PCI-E plug for it in your PSU. I wouldnt bother if you dont have 550W of a PSU and have to use Y-Cables to "Make" a PCI-E connector for it.. if thats the case, consider buying a PCI-E ready PSU and include that in the price, you will really need dedicated power for that rail if you are going to push the 7950 to run a 30".
And since you didnt put up specs as to what it's going into, make sure you dont drop this into an OEM PC. Like a Dell/HP/Etc.. unless you KNOW it is a PCI-E X16 slot, this card will NOT RUN otherwise.
I tried it in a Dell Optiplex 620 that ran a 7600GT just fine, and it woudlnt even boot with a GX2 in it.
