Little help with Windows 8 on my SSD

Thread Starter
When I installed 7 on my SSD, Windows didn't recognize it as an SSD so I had to manually enable trim and work through that SSD guide that is on here. When I upgrade to 8 when 8.1 comes out, what should I look out for and basically what should I do if it doesn't recognize my SSD as an SSD? I assume that Windows 8 is better optimized for SSDs and therefore it will detect my SSD by itself and act accordingly during installation.

Win 8 will see your drive as an ssd. No issues there bud. For that matter I have never had an issue with W7 and ssds either.

Thanks for the post. I am a bit OCD and impulsive and the first time I put 7 on there, I went to the built in defrag program and it wanted me to defrag my SSD so I deleted the program from the desktop and I only use Auslogics defragmenter because it recognizes and hides SSDs
