Good evening everyone!!!
Ok, so like I did with the other cases, the Silverstone, the CL S3, and basically anything I've done, I'm trying to either change my mind and go really custom, or deciding to do whatever's best right now!
I have the Corsair Air 540, but I'm not really satisfied with it.
Can't put a definitive finger on it, but it's just... unsatisfying right now!
I come to a crossroads....
For now, I believe that I will just build into the Wet Bench and leave it there for a while, covering it up at night as to protect it from dust, etc.
CaseLabs Merlin SM5 - Reverse, 140.2 drop-in top, solid bottom, extra 120.3 flex bay radiator mount added, vented top, windowed MB side, COLOR?!?!?!?!?!?!
THIS is my problem!
I can order it through FCPU and get the inside painted either blue or orange to match my build, but as far as I know, they won't spray the rest of it a second color. Haven't gotten a good response from them yet, and I emailed more than a week ago.
The other choice is getting the same case in full primer gray, and then paying a local company to P/C it for me, the exact way I want.
There's risks there, but it could be magical!
LD-PC V8 - Reverse, black w/ factory blue (or orange) inside, etc... I don't know a lot about LD-PC, but literally what's still keeping me in this camp is that I can get the case ready-finished, no extra money, just not full-color like I'd really want in a perfect world.
What's my play here?
Where's the best investment going to pay off for me?
Given that this isn't my last rig ever, it doesn't have to be SO fancy-schmancy, but I want to make good use of the parts I've already spent money on!
Thanks - T
