In nvidia inspector, hover the mouse cursor over the memory type box & it will tell you the manufacturer.

On the fron page, there are links to the stock & modded bios', as well as the ezflash tool. I haven't used the ezflash but it is supposed to be pretty self explanatory. Occamrazor is in quite a few of the threads here in the nvidia section & he has a guide in his sig.

Pretty much useless for air cooling, if really pushing things on water the ln2 bios can be useful. It really is for extreme cooling & overclocking though.
I just started testing mine with some extreme cooling the other night, still learning the card.
