Mine with stock normal VBIOS can do max boost 1215 or 1228MHz with no add volt too, just abit down from yours. I guess you got better chip than mine thumb.gif
Btw do you have Elpida memory chip too? It's not quite good for OCing frown.gif usually user can do 1600-1650MHz with this Elpida, or abit more.

I haven't tested for long term stable clocks, both of the Elpida equipped Lightnings I have used did the same 1710mhz max memory clock for a run of Valley bench, but could not manage any more than that.

Looks right, that should get you added when Kinaesthetic is back on.

is the RGB lightning logo supposed to flicker between colors and make a weird buzzing noise at the same time? It is fine when it is just green

It does change from green (idle) to red (OC) to purple (more extreme OC), the buzzing noise is likely coil whine, a lot of cards (or PSUs) do it when under load, it can be hit or miss to find a quiet one. Coil whine doesn't hurt anything though.

Thanks. I am well pleased with it so far. I guess that I lucked out since mine has Hynix memory. I haven't tried to move it past +300 on the memory. I'm a bit more cautious about overclocking memory on vid cards because it was a bit a chore with my last pair of 7850's in crossfire. I kept thinking that I had a stable mem overclock and then hardlock on a particular game months down the road. Finally linked it to the memory overclock because I wasn't getting checkerboard pattern or anything on the screen. I found that Crysis 3 is brutal on a graphics card to test for stability. Particularly memory clock. It seems that for me if it's stable in Crysis 3; it will definitely work in anything else. Bumping the memory doesn't seem to translate to much more performance than in benchmarks when you get to a certain point.

Just out of curiosity. Would a single cable connection from the PSU be able to power my Lightning? My Antec 900 watt high current gamer has four 8 pin PCIE connections. However, they are only on two separate cables. Currently, I have 8 pins from both sets of cables powering my Lightning. I powered my previous crossfired 7850's oced with a single cable the last time, but that is a far cry from a highly overclocked Lightning. I wasn't sure that a single cable would have enough umph when the card is sailing past the 100 power limit. Thoughts?

Not entirely true. With most Elpida lightnings most of us are stuck @ 1650Mhz - I can clock up to 1440Mhz on the core, but the scaling is crap without a high memory clock. This is for games and synthetics.

Basically my 24/7 Lightning @ 1320/1650 is as fast as a 1242/1750 GTX 780 - It makes a big difference, more than you think.

I've been following the 780 Lightning club for a while now despite not having one. I still haven't installed my GTX 780 DCUII - Once I do on sunday, I'm gonna check the memory, and if I find out it's running elpida memory I'm gonna find a way to sell it/return it and get my money back and pick up a lightning thumb.gif Honestly I'm almost hoping it has issues... Almost.

Anyone know SuperBiiz's return policies?

So AUX voltage does nothing then?

Wow you managed to hit 1710MHz? Nice Lorne thumb.gif

Nice Bishop thumb.gif you got good memory chip for ocing wink.gif
And I also agree that Crysis 3 is very sensitive when we overclocking our card. So becareful with that game, you have to get it stable enough to play that game.
Anyway your PSU is very good I think smile.gif 900watt woow plenty power than mine biggrin.gif

Update for validation :

Your comment is much appreciated! A big sticking point in putting my cards under water is the loss of the attractive lightning power use led. Is taking the fan cooler apart reversible so that I can put the card back to stock conditions for an RMA?
