The gpu reactor isn't really needed, I have been doing all my higher overclocks without it, I should actually use it again & see how much difference it might make.

Still does good clocks without though, this was with reactor off

Hey.
Just a quick question:
This card or a non-reference 780 Ti?

I saw Bishop said rev4 does not have vdrop. This is good news smile.gif no need to hack with LLC tool then.

Yup with LN2 BIOS, the card will set with no APS (Active Power Switching) which it can disable un-used phase while in idle or non full load usage. You can see it through the LED's, if full load all LED's is ON and when not full load or idle then LED's is only half or lesser ON.

I want to buy this card but the most overclock that I am gonna run is trying to max it out on MSi Afterburner. Would it be worth the purchase?
So still running AB15 with rbby tool. Is it worth upgrading to AB 18?

I am also getting GPU % usage drops in certain maps when I play BF4.

I'm buying this card in two days...

So are all of the new lightnings coming with hynix memory?

People who have ordered in last month have hynix chips?

Thanks for your help!

Ordering from new egg..they have 100 in stock lol

That is just an awesome score. Valley really does appear to like some high cpu clocks too.

I would personally go for a Lightning and save 150-200 dollars. Most will overclock to the ti level or faster plus your get a more robust pcb etc. My 2 cents anyway.

Honestly, I would have preferred for my computer to have done this instead of hard locking. It happened twice when I was trying to push my memory obscenely higher than I should have been. I'm pretty sure others on here have had the same thing happen.

Yeah. My card does have Hynix memory. I haven't really encountered any appreciable vdroop since flashing to the rev 4 bios. I haven't tried clocking to 1450 again though. That was when I really noticed it before. I have been happy to sit at 1400 core.

Personally, I much preferred AB18. It has the special edition built into the installer, and it doesn't expire. Right now, I am just using plain AB 18 to reach my clocks. Rbby tool is for when I really want to push it.

I got my card from Newegg a couple weeks or so maybe before Christmas. Mine has Hynix memory. It's certainly not a guarantee that is what you will get. Best of luck. I hope that yours comes with Hynix. thumb.gif

That is actually what I am doing now. I did flash my ln2 bios if that matters, but I am still just using Afterburner 18 without Rbby tool to reach my current clocks. I think a lot of people on here have done around 1250 or so on the core with just plain Afterburner and stock bios. Mine would actually do 1250 or so on the stock voltage too.

Thanks when my lightning arrives I'll frequent this thread
post #2650 of 5050
A ?, with stock AB beta 18, after a few minutes of fiddling, I'm stable at +200 core, +600 Hynix. Limit is 109 (groans), Mv @ + 100.

all on air. Should I expect any more (air) perf. With further tweaking and such, or is this a good place for non water?
