The strange thing is, card two IDLES at a higher voltage than card one, but under load, it's running at a full tenth of a volt lower. Card one runs 1200 core around 1.156 volts and card two is only at 1.058 volts. I try syncing them both at +65 for example, and no matter what, card 1 is always running .1 volt higher. Even when I un-sync them and run them at separate offsets, card one is always substantially higher...even if I put card two at +100mv and card one at +50 for example. Is there any particular reason this is happening, or is it normal...? Because of this, I cannot clock the pair past 1200 core, and if I try I the display crashes and I have to perform a hard reboot. I'm guessing that's happening because card two is being starved for voltage under load at higher clocks. Is this possibly and afterburner issue? Again, I'm running Skynet bios on both cards with boost disabled, card one is running rev 2 and card two is running rev 4. This issue also occurs when both cards are running stock bios by the way. Can anyone help because this is quite annoying, and both cards are going underwater tomorrow...

Did you try the "Force constant voltage" in Afterburner settings. Also what's your amp on pci on the power supply? I'm running of 2 grids, one 8pin of each connector.

My friend told me but I didn't check it for sure, he said saw it on videocardz.com. Perhaps he was wrong, because I also saw that GTX780Ti lightning's (limited stock) are for special OC team only or something like that, just like Ftw 420 said before... they aren't for retail.

Be sure to put the unzipped bios into the ezflash folder and rename the bios X.rom It won't work otherwise.

It is normal for them to have different voltages. Every card is going to be slightly different here. My old crossfire setup had card one at 1.21 volts at load, and card two was only 1.08 or something on their stock bios. If you give them the same voltage, card number two is always going to be .1 volts under card one. That part is completely normal. You would have to leave card one voltage at 0 and crank card two voltage to +100 to get the same voltage. If crossfire is any indication, multi gpu is definitely harder to stabilize overclocked. I would suggest finding the max clocks for each card individually. It made it vastly easier with my old crossfire rig. I hope that your power supply is up to snuff for oc sli setup. Good luck. thumb.gif Ultimately, you will just have to verify what upping the voltage actually gives the gpu. That is what I have had to do.

From the screen it's more like he tried to select the wrong gpu number... he tried from 5 to 9 when he has the slot 0 and 1 populated.
He wasn't yet at the rom selection there.
I could be wrong, long time I didn't flashed a card (I will have to read again about how to for my coming 780Ti KPE biggrin.gif )

Was thinking that exact same thing, but didn't want to comment on it. lol

?.wait what , how could you own a KPE 780ti .. evga haven't released it yet? Btw is stock bios at 450watt on the KPE .. you should have someone look in to making a new bios for it. Can't imagine vince and illya winning world records with only 450w

Makes sense, but even when I crank card 2 up to +100mv, it tops out at 1.107 volts. Card 1 for example is at +50 at the time of this run...

Since +100 is as far as Afterburner goes, will I have to use a voltage hack or something to increase the voltage of card 2, or what can I do to get them on the same level? I know through previous testing that card 2 will do at least 1280 core @ 1.165 volts...

@Goforcereloaded

Hello,

I have read almost all pages on this post but i don't find the information ^^

I have bought this amazing card a week ago.

Can I use the bios "skyn3t vBIOS rev 4 : Release Date 11/26/2013 (Hynix)" on the first page even if I have a new bios ?

My memory is Hynix (checked with nv inspector)

Here's my bios :

IFR Data Size : 1272 bytes
IFR CRC32 : 42D632F6
IFR Image Size : 1536 bytes
IFR Image CRC32 : A8329ACE

MSINV296MH.131

The bios on the first page is 80.80.21.00.60 and mine is 80.80.21.00.72.

I have the same issue of that guy : http://www.overclock.net/t/1459891/gtx-780-adding-core-offset-lowers-base-clock-voltage-and-crashes-older-games

This is why I want to flash my bios. (my GPU is rock solid at ~1202mhz in full load without voltage increase but the GPU crash when the gpu clockdown to ~980mhz because the voltage dropdown to ~0.8/0.9V (1.0V without overclocking when the GPU is at 980mhz)

Thanks in advance for your answer ^^
