Hey guys, how do you calculate memory speed?

Afterburner is reporting it at 3000 at stock, but I was under the impression that the stock for the card is 1500 and then you multiply by 4 to get effective speed. Is that wrong?

Why is AB reporting 3000?

Yes, sorry about that! It's the EVGA OC Scanner that has the artifact scanner function!

Divide by two bro wink.gif 1502 x 2 = 3,004 x 2 = 6,008Mhz Effective.

Whatever voltage it's stable at. If you can get it stable @ 1.187v or 1.212v then you have a good chip. Run a bunch of synthetics and games to check for stability. Metro 2033 and Crysis 3 will be the best games to test.

Ah ok.

So what's a top end effective memory clock? I gave AB +500 mem, reporting 3500, so that essentially 7ghz memory clock.

What should I be reaching for? 7.2? 7.5? 8? O_o
