It's a good chip too a B1 revision with Hynix. My first card is an A1 with Elpida..

Well done. I need to throw out a request in /r/hardwareswap to see if I can score another for SLI. Either that or or I'll sell mine for a 290X Lightning.

That was a good deal. I was kind of wanting to do sli too. But this card that I have right now is so beastly, that I'm not sure that it's worth it right now. I was thinking that the prices would drop a bit and then snag one over the summer. Now it looks like supply may be running out now. mad.gif

I installed my new PSU and maxed out my card:

1411/1777@~1.345v

It couldn't do a run of Valley with 1424@1.359v and I don't want to go higher on air. I have to admit the cooler ist really impressive the card maxed out at 78°C with those 1.359v.

How can you tell if your psu is not enough for your build? I'm worried my rm850 is not enough for my two cards.

That was my plan as well in addition to going going for a full waterloop with the EK Lightning blocks. Unfortunately not only has supply run low, but it's completely dried up. Looks like manufacturing is done as well on the MSI side. Good luck trying to find one now. I saw a couple on eBay last week for $500 refurb, and now those same auctions were relisted for over $1,000 (LOL).

This is the main reason why I'm leaning towards converting to a reference 780 Ti or a 290X. Not to mention there are more GPU waterblock choices.

If the PSU shuts off its not powerfull enough

Not that the Corsair RM was the best choice in the first place

If you don't go crazy with OC it should be fine. Let's say the cards draw 300W each , that would still leave ~250W for the rest of your system. (I can clock mine to 1280 without increasing PT/Voltage and AB says the card draws about 90-95% that would be 250-263W)

If you plan to max out the cards simultaneously it is definitely not enough. You need a 1200W PSU for that.
