Very nice. Looks like you have a good card.

If you don't heavily over clock them, I think you should be fine. If the PSU isn't enough you may see throttled performance or PSU may just shut your computer off.

I saw a couple on eBay last week for $500 refurb, and now those same auctions were relisted for over $1,000 (LOL).

This is the main reason why I'm leaning towards converting to a reference 780 Ti or a 290X. Not to mention there are more GPU waterblock choices.

I hear ya. I love the lightning water block too. How would pairing a Evga classified with the lightning fair? Would I have to use a separate program to get the most out of the classified?

Question for you guys: I downloaded the new Nvidia drivers last night and now my 780 lightning is acting funny. Prior to the new driver, I was mining around 650kh/s and my card would turn red. Now I'm only getting 300 and my card stays green. Same with BF4, just played a game in 1440p at 96fps but my card stayed green the whole time where it usually turns red. It also sounds like it isn't under as much of a load. Running +250 on the clock and +150 memory on it. I have already re-installed the drivers but it's still doing it.

When you overclock it effects the led output. Higher overclocks will not turn the led red. Will start either green or blue.
I know the overclock doesn't make the light change, it's power draw. Under heavy load is when it changes, but since the new driver it doesn't change like it did before. Will go blue sometimes but not red. Also, the decrease in mining performance bothers me. Only getting half of what I was 2 days ago.

Try it on stock setting and let me know if the lights work.

On every driver I used, stock settings the lights worked just fine. Once overclocked the lights only went to blue, which is normal.

Mine does not work properly when I adjust the voltage. Raising core has no effect on the led.

btw is it somehow harmful to the card to run it in LN2 mode 24/7? Because all phases are allways on...

I just use the ln2 bios. It should be fine for 24/7 use. You won't damage your card from leaving it in ln2 mode. No worries there.

So just got home and reset to factory then restarted, getting 574kh/s now and my card is red again. I guess I'll just re-do my overclock with this new driver. Thanks for the help. Can't wait until tomorrow when my second one gets here to put in SLI.

Where did you get a second one? How much did it cost?

It seems I got a really good one, in LN2 Mode 1280 are stable @stock voltage (~1.113-1.121v).

Sadly everything above 1333 is not benchstable. I am thinking it is my power supply. It can "only" output 47A on the combined 12V rails. The frames in Unigine Valley suddenly drop by like 50% allthough when this happens Afterburner still shows the card is clocking with 1360 or whatever I try above 1333.
I think the problem is not the wattage itself but rather the Amperes the card sucks from the 12V rail. I guess I'll order the 680W version with 55A combined 12V and give it a try.

Also I noticed my card does OC much! better with the LN2 mode than in normal mode. In normal mode somehow 1228 are not stable anymore after I reinstalled the card yesterday.
(1228 was definetely stable before last night even 1241 was stable in Valley and games)
It always crashes now in the very begining of Unigine Valley when the loadscreen is gone and the scene is about to be drawn, in the exact moment the change between no load and heavy load happens. During those milliseconds only 6 Power phases are active and somehow they are not capable anymore to handle the clocks. Because the card really barely fits in my case I scratched the PCB on the front a bit when taking the card out. Maybe I damaged it a bit frown.gif
But since in LN2 Mode all phases are active I can even go up to 1280 without any crashes @stock voltage.

Yeah the cpu cooler is pretty massive but my i5-4670k still manages to get pretty hot when given enought juice biggrin.gif

@neoroy

Are you sure it has Samsung memory? I thought rthe second batch cards with B1 Chips all have Hynix memory and the first batch with A1 have Elpida?
Yup but I will ask him again about his card and see GPU-Z, he just got from local seller in mycountry and looks like the seller sometimes brought cards directly from Taiwan ^_^ and also the seller sold it as a used card and not new card, no warranty.

Well with mycard and Skyn3t's Unlocked LN2 BIOS V2.0, it turns to be Blue when max load is at stock clock 980MHz, then Red when high OC like +1200MHz and then at my max daily 1293MHz it will always Purple.
