Ok, so I got a bit of extra money and bought a second one. It'll be here tomorow. biggrin.gif

Can you remove the GPU Reactor completeley without having to dismount the cooler? Because I'm afraid there is not enough space between the top and low card with the GPU Reactor mounted.

I have seen it go to the 140s and turn yellow actually when I was trying for 1500 core and pushing 1.4 volts. Playing Thief now with everything maxed out including super sampling, I don't really see it go to more than maybe 90's to maybe low 100's. However on the stock bios, it would definitely hit the 109 limit with just 1350-1375 core. I believe that the flashed bios power limit doesn't always correspond with the stock bios power limit readings.

Maybe I'll try 1.3v or so and see if I can get the power limit to go over 100%

The plastic round disk on the back is just held on by clipping to the backplate at the top, bottom & sides, push in 2 next to each other & it comes off, then the reactor PCB just pull straight back from the card.

Stock bios or modded bios? You should be able to hit the power limit pretty easily on the stock bios, modded bios can be different, my card at ~ 1450Mhz core 1.4V + hits around 50% power in AB.

As long as it is running full speed & isn't hitting the power limit & throttling, shouldn't really matter what the power % reads.

Do you guys think I should be concerned/RMA this? After about a month in a case this is what my lightning is doing

Is it normal?

(not my card but the raised edge is pretty much identical)

Update:

Here's an actual pic of my system. So what do you guys think, will it be fine or am I impending doom everyone jump sails

Worth noting...I did have it temporarily in my work computer a dell workstation which was on near 24/7 for a month. The case was always open and when I did check temps they always seemed to be within an acceptable range.. So I doubt its due to heay

It's now in place in my c70 case where it idles at 29-30c

The LN2 bios is flashed to Skyn3t's modded bios and that's what I'm using.

At 1.4v and 1450mhz AB only reads 50% power?

Mine crashes every once in a while at 1293mhz and 1.21v. When it crashes it just freezes then comes back on with a message that the display driver stopped working. Does that mean this card just can't do 1300mhz?

Thanks for the reply and information BTW.

I believe that is normal. Both my cards have the same upward slope of the PCB. What RAMs are you using? They look great and work well with a black and yellow theme biggrin.gif

Thanks that puts my mind at ease a bit. After looking closer it seems like it's bowing due to the weight. So I need to throw some brackets in probably.

As far as RAM i'm currently using

I'm going to be buying these soon (still debating if I wanna get the 2400 kit or the 1600)

So my second card and my new PSU came today and I installed it. Sounds easy but it was quite annoying. I had to demount the CPU cooler, the top LED fan and of course the top of the chassis. All this just because of the P4/P8 CPU cable mad.gif

But I made it:

Don't mind the bad cable management. As you can see my case is completely full. It's not possible to route the PCIe cables in a better way.

The card has an B1 chip, Hynix RAM and an ASIC of 78,1%.
I was lucky again smile.gif

Couldn't find any info about compatibility with Maximus V GENE and D14 cooler?

Does anyone know can I use this card with GPU reactor and Maximus V GENE motherboard with Noctua D14?

There is really very small space between the card and cooler...
