[Official] MSI GTX 780 Lightning Owner's Club - Page 325

From what I can see in the picture I would say no, it wouldn't fit.

But may I ask why you want to "upgrade"? You already have a Evga Classiefied? (Not that the Lightning doesn't look waayy better than the Classy tongue.gif)

They are both very similar in terms of OC.

There is really very small space between the card and cooler...

Sorry. There is no way that the gpu reactor is going to fit in the build in that pic. You can always take it off. I don't think it really makes much difference anyway. Maybe if you were benching with liquid nitrogen.

Got my replacement card in today from RMA. Unfortunately I didn't get as good of a card as I had in the first place. Went from 74% ASIC with HYNIX to 65% ASIC and ELPIDA thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Yeah the card is EOL so your best luck is on the forums. I think they were planning to release the Lightning Lite Edition which was just a non-overclocked version at a somewhat reduced price.

That would be interesting. If it is still the same basic silicone, it does seem a little odd. These cards should have absolutely no issue whatsoever hitting the base overclock speeds that they ship with now. I'm not sure why they would even do a lite version to just change the clocks. If this ends up being true, I might consider sli again. They could probably cut down on cost by shipping with more sane packaging. The jewelers box can't be cheap.

Yea I would LOVE to get another 780 lightning with a B1 core, but its going to be so rare to even find one....ugh.

I am honestly thinking of selling my 780 lightning with the dwood bracket mod.....Since these are going to be Rare it might catch quite a good price since it overclocks like a champ.

I know It can do 1450 on 1.37v benched, but thats too high for my liking. I usually run 1.318v @ 1411.

Anyway just be beaching/dreaming LOL
