I am using win 8.1 from beta bf4, the problem is in the card, or have a manufacturing defect or not this happening, but I have tried different frequencies and nothing ever happens the same, as if the card loses power by time

If you adjust the voltage the led won't work properly anymore so thats normal and you should not worry about it.
Are you sure you're having performance drops when OC? What exactly did you do? I can't imagine the fps going down when OC....

When I'm playing all 1080p ultra can not hold more than 70-80fps, last night I started researching and did a little OC to vga, and when I go to play the lightning logo LEDs never get to wear red, not even dark blue, as if the burden were to vga neck, which I find strange, also see performance below when used in stock.

this is due to

If you only switched you bios over to the ln2 bios without overclocking it further, then you will see performance below that of your regular bios stock. The ln2 bios doesn't have boost 2.0 active. The ln2 bios will just stay locked at 980; but with the stock bios, mine boosts to 1100 pretty much solid. If you use the ln2 bios, you need to set an overclock manually otherwise your performance will be less than the stock bios.

If you did set an overclock and are getting lower performance than the stock bios, you may have suffered a "soft" graphics driver crash which makes your clocks drop down to 500 or so. In that case, you need to up the voltage to stabilize your overclock. Hope that you get it sorted out. I don't have BF4 personally, so I can't really comment if that is typical performance or not for that game. From the things that I have read in different forums, it appears to have been a pretty buggy game all around. It sounds like they break as much as they fix with some patches.

thanks for the tip of the LEDs, and thought it was a manufacturing defect, and if like me explain, I never used the bios ln2, and the overclock did the normal bios, increase the voltage to the maximum that allowed me, 150 vcore 125men, and the game felt worse than the base frequency other than to explain to 70fps and 120fps if the like never maintains a stable fps rate, when I have oc performance is similar but maintains a rate stable fps, but still the problems of drops, drops by occasionally give me two or three seconds.

I had planned to buy the waterblock to complete my water cooling system, but if this continues to sell the card to someone else than ten picky like me and buy evga 780 classi

sorry for my english lol, and thks for the help, i raelly appreciate it thumb.gif

Did you use the voltage hack? Because Afterburner doesn't let you go above +100mV on all Core, Mem and Aux.

Maybe you are not giving enough volts so, like Bishop07764 said, your setting is unstable and the card is downclocking.

Why don't you just look up in Afterburner what exactly happens during those framedrops? It would help if you post your exact clockrate and gpu voltage.

What do you expcect from the Classy? They don't overclock better nor worse than Lightnings.

thanks for the replies mates, I currently have the volts gives me afterbunner, I have not changed the bios and volts, I'll have to see how I change the other bios is not whether the low level of ASIC (68.8%) influence, other thing my card came with elpida mems.

I think also my SO has problems, many factors analyzed is not I, I will try to modify the bios and try to adjust the stable oc as much as you can and test the game to see if it remains stable fps, honestly that's what I'm interested, I like quite my card, and I want to buy the full water block for my water cooling

here it a picture of my config: http://gyazo.com/d62635f64aa9ea765d8808a1624c6770

For my lightning, I couldn't overclock (Elpida memory) beyond +40 without crashing on any benchmark software or games. GPU overclocks a little decent but LN2 doesn't make any notable gain compared to what stock BIOS can do, even if I flash it with Skyn3t and/or apply some volt mod.

I know there are other people who were very lucky on this silicon lottery. I guess my luck is just with EVGA cards, not MSI.

Need some help guys, I've been toying around with a small overclock without touching the BIOS. I was running into games crashing when I would ALT-TAB or crash when I tried to start streaming. Someone in the thread recommended using what HardOCP did in their review of the card, below are the settings I'm currently using.

This is all on stock bios.

Basically, I'm a complete and utter beginner when it comes to OC my GPU. I'm running Elpida memory and my ASIC score is 73.8%, I really hope that's not too low/bad that it would hinder my ability to overclock.

What I'm wondering is, when you guys encounter crashes or strange images, how do you properly adjust down and in what increments?

Thanks for the help again biggrin.gif:D

At least you should download the latest build of the AB. This should be Beta 18. If you got crashed, you need to get more voltage. With the latest build you should be able to unlock the voltagecontrol in the AB settings. Then start with +100MHz to get stable. With +165MHz you should need to add more voltage. Try to increase in +10mV steps, till you get it stable.

What memory is on your card? You can see it in GPU-Z (latest build). Is it Elipda, Hynix oder Samsung?
