Hey guys, I have encountered an issue and I can't really wrap my head around it.

It might be motherboard or psu related. I'm not sure.

When I OC the cards my internet-ping goes up also the overall internet speed goes down. I mean like ALLOT.

If I reset the cards I get anything between 600-800 Mbs ↑↓ and the ping stays at 30 ms `ish ..

But when I OC the Internet speed goes down to like 20 Mbs and sometimes a site can sit and load for half a minute.

Ping goes very unstable and vary from 30-70.

I play mainly FPS games so this is an enormous issue.

Anyone got a clue of what the issue might come from ?

Could it be the PLL ? I mean the "aux volt" ??

Do you have a wired or wireless internet connection? If you have a wireless connection, i would change the channel on your router. I had a similar problem with me previous AMD cards. I would get terrible speeds that would completely correct when I uninstalled the graphics driver. Once I changed the router channel, the problem disappeared. It was causing some massive signal interference.

... wireless with 800 Mbs speed ? thumb.gif

it's wired connection obviously. I'm thinking it somehow is related to the psu ? Because when I run the cards on msi´s bios I dont get any issues, but when I run sky´s bios and higher power limit then the problems occur. I'm going to test the pll volt if that might be the cause ....

When I bench Unigine Valley at 1500Mhz and 1.5v (+500) I get a hard reset at the second to last pass. I have a Corsair RM850 and the rest of my system is stable, what could be causing this?

The newer ac standard can pull 800 Mbps.

Anyway, it sounds like it might be a psu or motherboard issue then.

Try upping the voltage in AB, i actually can't imagine your card not beeing able to hit at least 1200 core. Have you looked up the ASIC of your card?

I should have said that mine still has boost activated (no idea how to disable it) and GPU-Z says it boosts up to 1241MHz and everything that reaches the next boost level of 1280MHz becomes unstable. So I think the max overclock is somewhere between 1240 and 1280 but as I said, no idea how to disable boost and adjust it myself.
Btw how do I "look up my ASIC"?

Could be at the verge of the PSU limit, with a lightning at 1450Mhz 1.45V I was pulling over 900w from the wall, well over 800W from the PSU figuring in efficiency. That was a fairly chilly evening too, max temps were around 30°, higher temps can make a card pull more power.

For the true boost clock you read the sensor tab in gpu-z or the graph in afterburner, the boost window in gpu-z main tab shows a clock lower than the actual boost speed the card runs at.

For asic right click the bar at the top of the gpu-z window, read asic quality is in the drop down menu.

The only way to disable boost is to use the ln2 bios or a flashed bios. It takes boost out of the equation when you are trying to find the limits of your card.
