no the card uses power from the 6 and 8 pin for the main vrm for core and memory. The pcie x16 slot can only output 75w but the cards tdp is like 250w. It only uses pcie slot 12v power for pll vrm also 3.3v is used for some controllers that need it. I think all GPUs with pcie power plugs need them connected to even turn on.

Hey guys I got a hold of a GTX 780Ti Lightning MOA Edition can I join the club? Heheh pretty sure I got it from the Indonesian guy around here.

Here it is:

Edit:
So do you guys know why my card is only changing clocks in 26mhz increments? Isn't it supposed to be 13mhz increments? Have anyone experienced this before? I know I'm late to the party but if anyone can help...and I bought this just because I want to try it out heheh

@Awesomeguy10578, hello bro ...nice Firestrike GPU score thumb.gif what was the clock? volt? Do you have an "External control panel" to manually control the voltages? Mine didn't have it so I stuck with max stock voltage on Afterburner (+100mv) and I didn't change the stock cooling ^_^

I used it only awhile and sold it biggrin.gif

By the way it's normal for 780Ti Lightning MOA card that use +26MHz every increment. Mine did that too.

(Salam dari Indonesia bro hehe)

Thanks man. It was 1342MHz and yea I didn't have the control panel but I can use the Rbby tool to pur whatever voltage I want to reach that 1342MHz. Ordering a Prolimatech MK-26 Black Series for this thing biggrin.gif

I see so 26MHz increment is normal. But doesn't seem ideal for maximum overclocks.

Heheh salam juga bro ini card punya lu bukan ya? Wkwkwk

You are welcome wink.gif
Your 1342MHz was at max boost or offset clock? I did 1342MHz for max boost but got lower score than yours 14.7XX in Firestrike with old driver. Yup I could also use Rbby Tool to add more some volts but I only use stock TwinFrozR cooling biggrin.gif so I was afraid the temp will go crazy hehe. Better use H105/H110 with Kraken G10, bro. Temp will go much lower than MK26, I think so.

I guess all MSI 780Ti Lightning MOA use ++26 increment.

[Punyaku dulu yg ada tandatangan dari Alva Jonathan di dus nya bro ^_^ sayang juga dijual barang langka ya biggrin.gif ]

1342MHz max boost hahah I already got the MK26 and the reason for using it is so that I can easily take off the card from my testbench. Works good enough for 1367MHz. Will post results later biggrin.gif

Kayanya iya ya 26MHz increment semua

Heheh iya sayang dijual tongue.gif

I'm having some trouble with the fans on my card, ramping up and down, i have occasionally noticed one get stuck then free itself and go on as nothing is wrong.

There are two blue leds behind 2 of the fans, left and right, not on the centre. Is there a meaning to these leds? i cant find a manual to look it up and haven't noticed them before.

I am having the exact same problem on one of my cards. Though it's the rear fan ramping up and down, the noice is not nice. It seems to be a regular problem from what I can read on forums. Would be great if someone here knows of a fix.

If it's not a common problem, I can of course do some tests on the card. It is hooked up in my brothers pc atm, so I don't have it at hand.
