I think I will wait and see how MSI responds before doing anything drastic. On a side note, how is that HOF?
The HOF performs brilliantly. I was expecting the Lightning to perform similarly and even exceed what the HOF had to offer. The HOF has a power target of 126% out of the box and even though I can only push the voltage to 1.2v the card performs solidly at 1306mhz in ALL games with no stability issues and can complete benchmarks at 1330mhz - 1350mhz depending on the benchmark of course. If I dialed in some more volts I'm sure it could run a hell of alot faster and crack that 11,000 point mark on Firestrike.
This is why I am very unhappy with the Lightning. Best stable clock I have achieved with mine is 1202mhz... and this is with Sky's LN2 bios and 1.2v capped.
The Lightning I have performs poorly and I've seen 780 Gaming editions from MSI perform better. Increasing the voltages to 1.3v+ does absolutely nothing for my card and I cant play any games at anything over 1202mhz. While the HOF performs 100mhz faster with the allowed 1.2v keeps cool and quiet.
