N3n0, sorry I didn't read your previous posts. Saw you are on skyn3t's bios already. Just in what I have seen so far for my card, +100 I can only get to around 1240 core stable. Anything higher takes much more, around +200 I was able to get 1270. I am sure I could do better, I am new to nvidia.

So far I love this card. Should have probably bought the 7990 instead as it is cheaper, but honestly I wanted the fastest single gpu aside from the titan. Had 3 7950's and promptly sent them back, had so many issues with them. Also I have decided not to water cool unless some amazing block comes out for the lightning.

thanks smile.gif

yeah I think a fast single GPU has less driver issues.
but it kind of also depends on your screen setup what is best.

Im considering this card ,but i'm a silence freak and i'd like to know that with 3 fans is "TriFrozr" cooler loud, compared to 780 DC II or Twin Frozr IV coolers for example?

I can't really say, I can't compare.
but the card seems to do well in noise levels.
I have heard no complains.

the cards have PWM control ,so they will be silent at times.
during game a little bit of noise would not bother me , especially not with headset.

eventually ill buy a waterblock for it and connect it to my custom loop.
that will make it more silent too.

No I stopped using Sky's bios and I'm using the standard LN2 bios with 109% power limit. It allows me to OC more which is strange.

So, all GTX 780 including Lightning are ... gone with the wind... I will be waiting for the new offer @ AMD .
Let s see biggrin.gif

I'm am gonna stick with the 780 because of several good reasons, the 780 can power thru anything at 1080... And so will the new amd card all at 100fps easy, so why waist time selling this one and buying another for maybe 5% and the biggest reason is because 4k is coming and that means new radically designed cards to run it so I'll just save money and time and wait it out, screw the 5% I rather be gaming!

Coming from a MSI GTX 580 lightning,i'm very happy with my MSI GTX 780 Lightning (SLI),I overclocked the 1st one at the beginning,i used your tool, but since i got the second card(beginning of september..) i re-flashed back the bios of the 1st card at defaut .
Now i just overclocked my CPU(i7 3770k) at 4.5 Ghz,and run my 780 Lightning (SLI) at defaut stock, because i don't want to kill my system with my "little" 850w,i have to wait 2 more weeks to buy a new PSU.
Anyways,i'm very happy with this card(s).Now i can run all my games at max settings at 1440p,and i can also run every games in 3D on the 120 Hz one.
And i'm really not frustrated with my lightning.
When something is too much expensive,i don't complain,if i can not,i just buy something else,we have the choice.

Edit.MSI GTX 780 Lightning against the GALAXY GTX 780 HOF and the AMD Radeon HD 7990

Yeah, I know that - cherry picked core /GPU / and possibly a better LN2 BIOS - I had the chip of 73%ASIC that got nowhere near 1333 in "all games " -FC 3 was just stable at 1267 MHz, not a hair more and see some other "champs " here...
My card isn't even stable at 1228mhz and 1.2v. Runs for a few hours but then crashes eventually. If I had a Lightning that did touch the clocks in that review then I'd be happy.

It's going back tomorrow morning anyway.

1350MHz 1,24v with 75C in FarCry 3. I'm pretty pleased with my card after putting some arctic mx 4 on there
