corsair h100 vs cpu fan which to choose?

i am debating on getting a h100 liquid cooler or a cooler master 212 evo cpu fan... need help in deciding which is better bang for the buck....
my specs:
gigabyte ga-f2a85x-d3h motherboard
amd a10 5800k quad core 3.8ghz
16gb ram 1600
radeon hd 7970 graphics card
700w ultra psu
128gb ssd
antec 900 case

i plan on overclocking right around to 4.2 which they say is capable without messing with voltage but i plan on doing the voltage... my problem is with my stock cpu fan hwmonitor says u.der a stress test i hit 100celsius within 5 minutes (i got scared and quit the test)

what i want to know is will the h100 be better for overclocking? and does it support fm2 socket and my processor... i have been googling and sometimes it says its compatible and other times it says not... im looking at the same model number too which is the cwch100

any help would be appreciated guys. thanks in advance!

Depends on your budget. A CM 212 can be had for under $30, where an h100 or similar starts at around $100. Why not a Silver Arrow, Noctua, Phanteks, etc? Those run around $70 and will generally keep up with or beat an h100.

welli was on newegg and they have a refurb for $62 shipped... onl reason i considered it... itseems like the smaller one fan coolers have almost a 10c difference... but I'll look up some of those you just listed... any other websites you reccomend? i only know of newegg and tigerdirect

I would strongly recommend not buying a refurbished liquid cooler of any kind. Newegg, Tiger, Microcenter, and Amazon will likely have the best deals if you live in the US.
