Thats really good to hear. I would've posted my opinion but as you've got her a tablet [which I was going to recommend too]. +Rep if it was there man. Not all people are so good at heart now...

My dad is 67 and honestly, an iPad is just about perfect for his every needs.
Sudoku's, car games (Easy ones) and music/movies is just perfect for him.
