And I am not willing to go on record and say it will work or not. If it is MXM (both the motherboard and the GPU) then it should work fine, assuming your heatsink will be enough to cool the new card. THe only way to know for sure would be to call dell and ask them.

Eh dell phone support probably won't be able to tell him much as they aren't the most knowledgeable people. But yes that processor will probably start to bottleneck in some of the newer games coming put that require more power.

I mean I have loaded a few games and they don't seem to eat up too much of the CUP However, I was considering upgrading to the i7 920x. It wouldn't be too much and would help out with the video rendering. Do you think that would still bottleneck?

depends if you have a bios that supports overclocking. If so, I think you would be fine for the time being. No clue if the bios is locked or not though.
