Is it worth getting a SSD ? - Page 6

Yea I got my M4s when they were under £1 per GB, they were very good back then and one of the earliest Sata III drives, but now the samsung ones are a lot better, and 5 year warranties on them are great.

I keep thinking I need more than 512 Gb cos it keeps getting full, but then I realized all I have to do is copy paste it to a HDD, delete the games in my steam folder I'm no longer playing, then if I want to play them again just copy them back over so I dont need to download them again.

exactly.

I never exceed 100gb on my os drive...all else goes onto storage.

128 Gb is good for an OS drive, first I had a 64 Gb C300 and that was a nightmare. Just OS / drivers / apps on there, everything else on other drives.

i actually use my 128gb ssd for

OS

Neverwinter

Guildwars 2

Skyrim

Deadspace 2

Splintercell Blacklist

Battlefield 3 & world of warcraft

Bastion

The night of the rabbit

Trine 2

Toki tori

and I still have around 30gb free. So I would say that just these that you mentioned are false OS / drivers / apps 128gb actually holds alot if you follow seans SSD guide in the SSD area of the forums to open up more space

Edited: On top of that I am the type of person where once I beat a single player game I usually uninstall it and never play it again unless its really good.
