MSI X79A-GD45+ bios resolution max 1080p (I think this is the same on all MSI UEFI)?

Does anyone else have an MSI motherboard and a problem with high res? With my 2560x1600 screen attached to my 7950 I get nothing, just a flashing cursor although it still boots fine and gets to windows. It will not enter the BIOS at all or shot the POST messages. If I switch back to a 1080p screen it works fine. I'm on the newest revision for my board, H30 and it is still the same.

A little googling around and I have seen some similar issues, people are saying that turning the monitor off and on fixes the issue (while trying to get into the bios). Failing that other people are saying that using a Display Port cable fixes the problem.

I tried turning it off and on, unfortunately the Dell 3007 doesn't have DP and I don't have an active adapter for it. I guess I'll just have to swap out the monitors when I want to adjust settings, what a bummer.
