NVIDIA Graphics Drivers Downgrading.

Yesterday I realized I needed to downgrade my NVIDIA graphics drivers (326.80) because of game compatibility issues. I used the rollback methods to restore my original drivers, and then upgraded them with the newest stable version from the nvidia website (320.49) Is this the best of going about this? I've read that some people recommend tools like driversweeper to completely remove the drivers and some say to do it manually. Should I just keep the drivers the way I have them, or completely remove all nvidia drivers from my machine and then install them again?

Thank you! I followed the tutorial and have successfully done a clean install of my graphics drivers. The only problem I had was that the "NVIDIA corporation" folder under Program Files x86 wouldn't delete because it said it was in use. I closed out of everything else and then deleted the registry files but the folder reappeared again. It finally deleted though.. Also my computer started installing some random other audio drivers (etc) after I deleted the NVIDIA ones.. It said I needed to reboot to apply the changes, but I just waited until I finished deleting all of the NVIDIA folders and registries. Do you know why these things happened?

Not sure, but as long as everything is running smooth you should be fine.

For me :
Uninstall first with Add or remove programs from windows and if it says reboot or restart your PC to apply the changes just do it smile.gif after all Nvidia programs in add/remove programs entry have been gone then it is time to do Bradley's guide to completely remove the remains of your driver.
And after that just reboot again and last I still use Driver Fusion/Sweeper to make sure there is no left file/registry.
Done.

All you have to do next is install your new driver and I always use clean install option smile.gif

I never had problems since do this method.
