Setting Desktop to use HDD space instead of SSD

Thread Starter
i am helping a friend install windows 7 onto a new 24gb SSD.

he also have a hdd which holds a lot more space.

he enjoys putting / downloading / keeping stuff straight to desktop.

is there any way to make the space used by desktop to come from the HDD instead of the SSD?

Yes
go to my computer and right click on desktop, go to properties. Under general, set the target to any file path you would like.

EDIT: It should be under "Favorites".

it's not working though, that only changed the shortcut link from "Favorites" to be set at Local DIsk D (the secondary harddrive)

the desktop that i see is still from local C (ssd)

edit: ah nevermind. got it smile.gif thanks!
