Creative SB X-Fi Titanium HD Sound issues

When I leave my pc for awhile then come back and watch youtube (I use firefox) or play a video in mpc-hc, I sometimes get a cracking sound or the sound just disappears but if I play music using foobar with output ASIO, I get sound. If I go to control panel > sound > disable, then enable default sound device, everything goes back to normal. Anyone having the same issue?

I had that issue with older creative drivers, and did that fix a few times a days. Are you using the newest beta drivers? You could also try PAX drivers.
