Router causing EA server disconnects.

Thread Starter
I have a fiber connection to my d-link dir-300 and when I use the connection via the router I get disconnected a few minutes from joining a BF3 server. However if i connect my PC directly to the fiber connection on the wall it works fine, I tried to forward ports recommended by EA and I have my rig in DMZ.

It's a bit annoying to disconnect from my network if I want to play a game as my music and other media is on my server. frown.gif

Don't listen to idiots at EA, DMZ will leave you wide open for hacker attacks.

Well best thing to find out if the ports your Forwarded are in fact Open.. DL this Program "Simple Port Tester" and check your ports:

http://www.pcwintech.com/simple-port-tester

I am thinking they are open and you have other reasons for the disconnects..
