Case recommendations?

Thread Starter
Anyone recommend me a case that can fit a H100i push pull but also have room for a possible custom watercooling loop in the future? I want a case that will be big enough for awesome airflow and cable management but the smaller the better. Budget is £150.

Plus points go to cases with nice aesthetics (Side panel window, no tacky blue LEDs everywhere). Airflow and space really is the priority.

Take a look at Fractal Design. They have some really good cable management, they look very slick and clean, and they have amazing watercooling abilities. Also, they have tons of dust filters that are easy to remove and clean. If you want more airflow, check out the Arc Midi R2, but if you want more silence, check out the Define R4.

The Define R4 can also come with a window too

I would also check out the NZXT Switch 810. Definitely has room for an H100i, and plenty of space for a custom loop in the future. Built pretty good and has a side panel window. The fact that is also comes in a few different colors is also nice.

Arc Midi R2 is perfect, I own the case. best case i owned, and better than NZXT Switch 810, which I sold to get the Midi R2.
You can also look at the Corsair Air 540.

Arc Midi R2 has better build quality than Corsair Air 540 and is going for only $70 now. The Corsair Air 540 has the separated sections going for it but the fan mount locations are actually less than a Arc Midi R2 (it's missing bottom fan mount).. OP is looking for a smaller case so it's basically out of the question.

If you're looking for mATX cases there's also the Arc Mini and Arc Mini R2 . If you can forgo the bottom/side fan mounts you can opt for a Corsair 350D which is going to be cheaper (currently, not MSRP- wise ... and you need to buy your own filters for the top). The Coolermaster N400 is also a choice if you can deal with the look & are willing to swap out PCie- slot covers+ fans. If you want to go for SIlverstone cases there's the SG09 and SG10 but I doubt you can fit a H100i in it.

For silent type cases Fractal Design Define R4 is commonly seen for $50-80.

Other silent cases like the Corsair 550D, Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811281001) are going to be substantially more expensive.

The NZXT H630 is also supposedly decent provided you fill in the fan slots with fans but it's a large size. You also have to deal with putting the case on your left side because all IO is on the side of the case. It's also pricy at $150.

Fractal Design fans are one of the few out of the box case fans coming with Fluid Dynamic bearings as well.

In general things to look for:
Front: 140mm fan x 2
Top: 140mm fan x 2
Rear: 140/120mm fan x 1
Bottom/side: 140mm fan x 1 or 140mm fan x2 --> 1 bottom and 1 side or 2 side is common ; you can have cases like the Corsair C70 which come with 2x bottom and 2x side also (although stock setup is horrific and HDD cage is VERY restrictive)

edit - you need to take into account mounting side panel fans is more annoying than bottom mount. Bottom mount is better for blower GPU coolers like the stock GTX Titan.
