No, it is not false, I had 2x 6850, they scaled almost 95% in all games. Problems were mainly related to drivers and stuttering though. Now with new drivers there is probably more stability, but I still encourage the OP to get a single card solution, especially if it is not a hardcore gamer and doesn't want the hassle of being updating drivers and tweaking games all the time.

The Gtx 650 is as good as the Radeon 7750 and more expensive.

We all know Nvidia is more expensive than AMD that's why I put the AMD counterpart at the same price (some people prefer Nvidia, no matter the cost, LOL)
