Memory Upgrade 2133

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I need more memory and I'm thinking 2x 8GB sticks to total 16GB. I want to order before they go any higher in price =/

I'm considering this pack:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231571

I need something that is this size (40 mm tall), and I love G.Skill.

Is there other memory out there that I should consider? (I want 2133mhz or maybe 2400 which is max for my motherboard, please don't debate this choice of mine =) )

Thanks!

I would go with the gskill for low profile and great memory I use it myself.

Any GSkill kit is generally among if not the best out of other "equivalent" kits, not always, but more often than not...

The absolute best kits are pretty easy to discern, usually the timings give them away (what IC's are used).

For example:
2133 9-11-10-28 and 2400 9-12-10 are Hynix CFR/MFR
2400 9-11-11-31 and 2666 10-12-12 are Samsung HYK0/HCH9

Always, always get the lowest latency kit available for the speed you want, as the looser kits generally have the subpar IC's (ie Trident X 2400CL9 vs 2400CL10).

Thank you. So the ram I linked does not fit the 2133 9-11-10-28 (which I remember hearing good things about a while back, now I remember!)

Is there anywhere to get 2x 8GB sticks of that, newegg doesn't seem to have it.

Example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231476

Also, how much different are the kits between my OP and this post?
