Could OC be better or worse with mono swap???

I hope this question doesn't sound too stupid, but I'm curious at my How much potentially could my OC be affected with a mobo swap?
I currently run my sig rig, sabertooth x79 w/ a 3820 and dominator memory at XML 7-8-8-x ( sorry, can't remember last number ATM...)
I'm wanting to physically downsize my rig to a...
Rog rampage IV gene, same CPU and memory.
I'm currently OC'd to 4.56 ghz. I know chipset has a lot to do with overclock ability... But does changing mono affect it as we'll? Or should I not even worry about it?

Thanks in advance!

Overclocking is more about silicon lottery than mobo. It should be fine. Plus, the Extreme is a better board for overclocking.

It has more to do with the chip. With the new MB you will have at least the same OC.

Motherboard usually o ly comes into it if your going for extreme ln2 sessions or say if the mobo you are using is seriously underpowered, as in the likes of a gigabyte z68-apd3, which usnt geared for decent overclocking due to low power phases etc. That only let me overclock up to like 4.2ghz on a 3770k.
