Looking for Upgrade

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I'm no tech guru when it comes to upgrading hardware.

I've been using two 560ti Windforce SOC in SLI for awhile now. . And don't know how well they go with current games.
If anyone knows what games should it be able to handle and what settings. I'm considering an upgrade because they seem loud and get hot. Not sure if I have something set up wrong.
Check my rig out and let me know. . Or if you had any ideas on what the dramas may be then please let me know.

What Nvidia cards or AMD would be a decent upgrade, I'm looking at $300-500. Need 3 monitor support. Not really after Nvidia Surround or eyefinity as much but thats a bonus.

I've heard 660ti may be good aswell as maybe a 7950 or 7970.

SLI configurations are going to be louder just because there are more cards and they're running hotter.
Especially if they've been running hard for a few years.

If you don't care about the chipset, it's hard to beat a 7970 (all of which support at least four monitors).
Especially at current prices.

Quality Sapphire at 305 USD after rebate:

I used to use this Gigabyte (350 USD after rebate) and it's pretty quite at most settings:

OCs well, too.

"Volcanic Islands" from AMD will be released in like 50 days, I suggest you wait a little bit if possible.

If you can't, going for GTX670 or 7950 is not a bad idea at this stage. The prices have been lowered significant in the last couple weeks in some shops.

OP if you want to spend upto USD 300 I suggest you get a Sapphire HD 7970 OC or Sapphire HD 7950 / MSI HD 7950. HD 7950 is 5 - 7% slower than HD 7970 at same clocks. HD 7950(1125 Mhz) = HD 7970 (1050 Mhz)

but if you are willing to spend upto USD 500 its better to wait for AMD Hawaii which launches in early Oct. just 5 - 6 weeks time. the HD 9950 should be available for less than USD 500 and should be the chip to get thumb.gif
