Yep, and doesn't CAD modeling require a high-end machine?
I remember when I first started looking at X79, all I ever heard was that unless you do video rendering or AUTOCAD (or have a need for quad SLI) that it's pretty much overkill.

I'm curious, maybe you already mentioned this but what sort of case/setup do you have?

All of the components will go inside the desk compartments (see above photo of scale model).
