Used? I don't think anyone sells them used, and I live in the US so I can just use newegg, they are around 400-450. But I also have to pay for tax and shipping which boost the price up by 50-60. I have a local microcenter but thee GPUs there are a bit more expensive

I got a pair of MSI power edition 680s when they were £270 each, compared to £100 more for the 770 lightning. I flashed them both to the 680 lightning bios, and one does 1250 / 7600, the other only 1202 / 7200, but they still match stock GTX 770 performance for much less, and also cost the same as a single GTX 780.

With how much they are beginning to charge for high end GPUs now, think I might end up sticking with these cards for a lot longer that I usually would.

I can buy a 2nd hand 680 for 325-350 shipped, which is around 70-100 dollars cheaper then a 770 when you include shipping and tax. I also see a 680 classified with the EVbot connector, bidding for 370 in eBay ATM, and I also found someone selling a 680 lightning for 350 on Craigslist. Finally I saw someone selling their 680 classified hydro copper for 250 on Craiglist. (But not sure if trust worthy) The cheapest 770 go for 400 new, and the 770 lightning goes for 450. I am also considering waiting for the 9000 series or going for a 780 and then I have to downgrade my CPU from a 4770k to a 4670k. I would like this computer to last 3-4 years, and don't plan on upgrading during then. I play games and also do video editing

yeah waiting a month is a good idea. AMD HD 9950 might just be the card you are waiting for.

I suppose time will tell. In any event, it sounds like AMD will have some next-gen graphics hardware in stores in time for Christmas.

...a little more to wait...rolleyes.gif
