New 7950 bench results

Thread Starter
Just wanted to see if my stock Saphirre 7950 is working correctly. I ran 3d Mark 11 and Valley. I am not worried about maximizing or overclock at this time, just want to make sure I am where I should be for stock to make sure the card is working correctly. Thanks so much and here are my results/.

I ran valley on the same settings as you to compare results at the 1080p Extreme HD setting.

Stock clocks: 925/1250 36.9 FPS

OC: 1200/1550 44.9 FPS

Looks our stock clock results are within margin of error, thats good. There are huge gains to be had with overclocking the 7950 thumb.gif

Yup, looks good. On valley, my scores have gone from stock 850/1250 - 1402, to OC'd 1049/1490 - 1652.
Sadly I can't seem to OC my Sapphire Vapor-X higher than that /:

That's partly due to it being a non boost edition. Had the same issue with my PowerColors until I flashed them to the boost bios and now they will get up to 1150/1500 due to the extra voltage used by the newer bios.

Thanks for the response biggrin.gif I hadn't realised this, I thought that the Vapor-X card, with voltage slider unlocked in TRIXX meant it should overclock well.

As you can tell, I am quite the noob when it comes to overclocking, would you be able to offer any pointers?

Thanks everybody for helpin me out. Just wanted to make sure all was average because if something was wrong I wanted to do something about it now.

I will start pushing the card more at some point but it is fine for me right now. I am very happy with my 7950, especially for the price, but I do have this flicker in LoL but that is another story and I hope not related to other games or somethign wrong witht he card.
