Project "ICE" - Page 25

That is the first link I got that worked. The othrs always said missing a file or something. Thanks!

Trying to get some info on the Abit site. The Guys there are kinda snooty. I asked for a link to an alpha and the poster simply asks me to "tone down my sig" without answering me. Makes me wanna slap him silly.

Posts up "here's a couple of new alpha BIOS" and posts a link to BetaBios10.zip...

Would that seem a little off?

Last thing I want to down is DL a bad or incorrect BIOS...

Still hoping to get some answers...

http://forum.abit-usa.com/showthread...=117944&page=4

That's why I prefer this forum to all others--at least we are polite and helpful.

SO far at the Abit site I have had a "Super Moderator"guy answer my initial OC questions with a link to a sticky that did not offer any new info. And Another "super Moderator" guy ignore my question and ask me to change my sig.

I wonder if they would act like that in person.

You should join the Abit Forum and show them how it is done!

Anyway one of the Forum Newbies helped me out--the Super Moderators would not diegn to actually speak to me.

If only they KNEW that I am the King of Rep Hill!

One of their mods linked to a post here from Tha Wax Shop who is linking to a piece of SW from, somewhere else...LOL Abit support

But I did manage to get a pair of new BIOS to try so I am eager to totally bork my machine with this untested and unsupported code...LOL Will report later.

I am having some odd visual errors in 3DMark06 that so not seem to effect the scores. Jumping back and forth between frames and stuttering. I resinstalled the benchmark and reinstalled the ATI suite. It still remains. ATHe system was primed for 8 hours so whatever it is does not show up in orthos/sp2004...

Kinda wondering if overclocking the cards has somehow damaged them.

EDIT: running orthos all night tonight just to see what's up.

Need to run some other benchmarks and see if it is specific to 3DMark06...

Well I just went and bought some D9 RAM...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148047
That should remove the RAM from the OC issues.

Never spent so much money on RAM in my life...

I noticed Paul Dovi was getting his up to 1200 so I thought I would grab them before the price goes up.

This is getting to be the most expensive build ever...

Thats the same ram I have as well except you got some blinking lights lol. Would love to see what you can do with it. Its some really good stuff. I would also recommend some type of active cooling on it. Because it does get pretty warm with the volts you need to put into it. I grabbed this and it keeps them nice and chilly.

Thanks for the links guys. If I coulda found it without the blinking lights I woulda got it. I like lights that mean something.

Anyway the TeamXtreme might be really great--I just hate the packaging--and it seems like a new (as in blink your eyes and there it is) New company. At least Crucial has been around a while...

I have seen a lot of Team Xtreme RAM being used so maybe I am missing a great thing--the Ballistix Paul has hit 1200 so that's why I chose that exact one.

I still am suffering from sticker shock. Had to wrap my mind around RAM that costs more than the mainboard... If I wanted to fill all four DIMMs I would have spent more than the Mainboard/processor and all the pretty lights and Fans...

Enough about the money...

So I ran Orthos 9 hours without a hitch. Nonetheless I still get wierd distortions and other visual errors from the 3DMark06 Benchmark. I just installed Aquamark--but it gets an error invalid page fault or some sort of access violation error.

Not sure what to do to try and narrow down the prob. Sure Hope the cards are okay--again the most expensive cards I ever bought.

Everything about this rig is the most expensive I ever bought...crazy

Only the case was a bargain!

So please give me some links or clues as to a good stress test for the GFX as well as the SYS. I have seen some new benchmark that sdoes that--but I cannot remember what it's called or where to DL it...
