My first run up to 4006 was on one stick of RAM--it provided the most stable platform and it also gave better performance than my re-created OverClock with 2 sticks I ran today.
Yesterday I spent a long day getting to 4006--flashing and crashing and TAKING NOTES!
Today I went over my notes and re-traced my OC but used two sticks of RAM--this time trying for the lowest possible voltages that would yield results. I am now at 3995 in the 1333 NB strap and working on improving stability. I can run 3DMark06--but as noted the marks are lower by about 300 using two sticks. The voltages are pretty high and so far 3800 is the last stable plateau. I am somewhat dissappointed that I can neither overclock this nice RAM nor run it Dual Channel with the current BIOS. I real performance hit.
Hope that brings us up to date.
Currently we are taking intermission--feel free to browse the gift shop and be sure to stop by the concession stand...
When we return I will continue the search for stability and have yet more documentation for you. I have been making tons of screeies--hang tight--more to come!
And no I have not forgotten I need to resize the pictures...
