I want to share a little more about that:
When my buddy Burn gets rolling with his CNC machine I have some drawings of a intermediary waterblock for using in between the Phase head and the CPU. But basically it is a low restriction maze-type--but with the inlet and outlet on the side of a thick 2 part all copper block--the idea being to still transfer a large percent of the cooling effect to the CPU directly while enabling the use of the "overflow" to chill the coolant loop. IMO the lines should be no larger than 3/8" to work well for most GPU/NB/RAM/HDD waterblocks (if you see where this is going).
If it helps I will post the drawings...
Anyway I think it would be really entertaining to watercool everything--except the PSU...
I dunno why but I really like the Alphacool stuff--but it is all those teensy euro-sized lines--which don't work for the Storm. But If I chill the CPU with Phase then the rest of that stuff would work great if I used splitters.
I think it would look really cool to have all these UV glowy lines of fluid lacing around under the top. I like the Koolance RAM-30-V06 Dual Ram Cooler and the Alphacool HDD3 HDD cooler because it is all serpentine under the acrylic--that would look awesome with the HDDs upside down so you could see the copper and fluid...but it makes it a hard choice if you are cooling a Raptor X LOL--maybe I will have to make a little mirrored turntable for it or something. And I can't think of a nicer-looking GPU WB than the DD Koosah or Tyee...
And all without a radiator or fan!
