Power Outage, Motherboard or Video Card

Thread Starter
The power flickered on and off last night. Afterwards, the computer was turned on, and there was no video, but the computer did boot. I unplugged the video connection from the back of the computer and plugged it back i, turned the computer on and the video came back. I turned the computer on and off several times and never had a problem with the video output. However, after a couple of hours, I turned the computer off and back on and had no video. I tried unplugging the video connection again but the video remained off while the computer still booted. So, I left the video connection plugged in and and removed all USB connections and the computer booted up with video. After reinserting the usb connections, I turned it off once and restarted it twice and it still had video but have not turned it off since last night. At first, thought the video card was damaged. Now I am not sure and think the motherboard is damaged, Any feed back would be great, thanks.

Ya, I had a surge protector. Probably stopped the whole computer from getting borked.
