Ahh I missed that somehow

IMO from highest recommendation to lowest would be this:
http://www.amazon.com/AKG-Signature-Reference-Class-Premium-Headphones/dp/B004444OFK
http://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-DT-880-Premium-250/dp/B000F2BLTM
http://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-990-Premium-250-Ohm/dp/B00193FT26

though everyone has different sound pref its best if you can find someone around that will let you try them out as sound enjoyment is quite subjective

What would be best for FPS/directional sound gaming? I use these for everything (Movies, gaming, music, VOIP). Is there any program that makes virtual surround but uses the on-board sound? And which version is the best Modmic? Tiihokatti

Razer Surround can use onboard audio. It's pretty weird that they add things like sonic radar or w/e it's called but don't add any headphone surround support on the mobo.
DT880, DT990, AD700, Ultrasone Pro550 are good gaming headphones. But it really depends on what you are looking from the headphones, bass light headphones are best for gaming but not for bassy music.

Even though my DT770 are very bassy it still gets the job done in games better than well.

I'm thinking of getting the Beyerdynamic DT880 Premium 600 OHM because my motherboard has an amp that can power that. Is there another way to get it in a different color?

yes via the beyerdynamic USA Manufaktur website. Make sure you select the 600ohm version in the options. It is more expensive of course as it's customised.

http://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/shop/hah/headphones-and-headsets/at-home/hifi-manufaktur/dt-880-manufaktur.html

If you are in Europe, you can use their German website too.

Thanks. To bad you can't change the actual back of the headphones to a different color. Would look real nice in black or red. XD. Would cost me an extra $146 to get it custom colored. And $15 shipping. Looks like it would be worth it though.
