It's not a lot at all. Most people expected higher price. Nokia has so many patents and brand still has some value.

WP8 is solid OS. I've had Nokia Lumia 920 since the release and UI is very smooth. Android always felt bit laggy. Of course there is still some problems, in some ways I feel like it's too restrictive. There needs to be more options for customization.

Edit: for some perspective, Microsoft bought Skype for 8,5 billion USD.

Nexus phones do not fare much better. (though I do hate how I can't uninstall any of the AT&T/Samsung bloatware crap >< )

There's nothing wrong with the *smoothness of the UI on my SG4, it's just when I got my hands on my friend's Lumia 920 it was just like...WOW.

Yeah, WP8 would be an amazing platform if the entire product was judged on how responsive the UI is.

Oh, that's right. You USA residents get screwed with Nexus phones, too.

Every owner of a Nexus here has bought it from the Play Store, and it is by far the most responsive and lightweight phone available.

Honestly, buying a Nexus from a carrier defeats the entire purpose of getting a Nexus.

I have to say this is a great thing for both companies. I am a huge supporter of WP8 and Nokia. Nokia has a huge following in Asia and Europe with such a great reputation of well built hardware. As for the OS, it is by far the best I have ever put in my hand. Don't get me wrong, all the little kiddies out there might cry about not having hundred of thousands of apps/games. If you want a phone for an adult that has better functionality, integration and utilities to actually accomplish something productive. There is nothing better or more reliable than this new marriage in partnership. I have had the 920 for almost 2 years with out it ever locking up or freezing on me. I might be lucky, but I can't say that about the Android and iPhone I have had in the past.

WP8: should be marketed for adults
Android and iPhone are for the kiddies

Just plain and simple.

Well, I *WAS* possibly looking to buy the upcoming Nokia 515 "dumb phone" for my employees when it arrived, but since Microsoft is buying them, I will pass.

False, We can buy Nexus phone from the play store as well.

Even the carrier tied Nexus phones can be unlocked, de-bloated, and customized tho, so its still a Nexus.

I tried WP, and absolutely hated it. I really don't see what anyone likes in it. I couldn't find one thing. Then again, I think the Nokia versions are ugly, so I'm probably not in the majority here.

Just curious what you are going to get them. Are you running on an enterprise emails client, Exchange, Lotus Notes or you thinking of going to Blackberry BES?
Are you running linux or Macs?
Sometimes it's not right to go with a Windows phone, but if you are on a Microsoft platform for all your computers/servers in your company it would be a shame to not use WP8 for the current integration and the futureof where it is heading.

FYI, i'm running a BES server now and we are switching to iphones as we speak. Because our sales force out numbers me 700 to one and most of them have iPhones already (even if i'm not letting them BYOD). Sales people always know what technology is best for a company...RIGHT!

Just I thought of throwing out some open support if your working on wireless integration in your company.

Reference: I'm a system administrator for a global company of over 7K people world wide. I head up US market

I don't know what it is about sales/marketing, but they're the only department in our company that acts like they HAVE to have MAC and they HAVE to have every new version of adobe....Oh and the iphones -_-

pain the butt with the Server 2008 =/= Mac integration
