Can my card handle 3 screens?

Hey guys. I just upgraded to a gtx 770. I currently have one 1080p monitor and I'm thinking about getting 2 more. Can a single 770 handle 3 1080p screens and if so, will I be able to max new games?

This should answer your question in depth.

http://www.legitreviews.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-reviewed-in-2-way-sli-and-nvidia-surround_2210 Sorry about that it seems this is 770 SLI and surround.

Edit : Which GPU is that. Gigabyte Windforce 770 can do surround for example. However don't expect miracles. Surround is taxing. You need a 2nd one to maximize most games.

Play yes, Max: Depending on game, most likely no. That link (legit) is valid and shows frames on SLI 770 vs single 770 as well

Man even for 2560x1440p resolution sometimes a seond GTX Titan helps a lot.

For 3 monitors 1080p, I would ALWAYS go for the 2nd GPU.

However you have a 2GB model. I hear that 2GB is not so great for Surround. Any chance you can get 4GB versions of that GPU?

Well I already ordered the card so if its really necessary I can cancel and get a 4gb. Id rather just sli though. Or I could stick with a single monitor as it seems that a single 770 cant handle 3 1080p monitors.

You can look into a 2560x1440p monitor as well. Or a 1080p 120hz monitor.

Both monitors will be fine as 2GB seems enough for 1 screen gaming. However when you mod your games such as Skyrim than 2 GB will not be enough.

I would honestly get the 4GB version but that's just me.

99% of the time you will be fine with 2GB.

What is the price difference between 2GB and 4Gb?

You would need to SLI to game on 3 monitors with relatively high settings, although if you just wanted to use 3 monitors but game on 1, the single card should be fine.
