[SAMSUNG] Curved OLED TV - Timeless Arena Design!!! ----- OMG!!!! - Page 5

I have a feeling these would look terrible in a surround setup. The curve of each screen would have an undesirable effect on the side screens.

on a good note .. I dunno whats the point of a curved tv kinda makes it hard to see from an angle isn't it

One of the reviews stated he felt like the corners were stretching out and skewed the picture. but that may be because we are used to seeing flat tvs and it may feel like the sensation of when we went from tube tvs to flat ones.

I think the Idea of the curve is that our eyes are curved and the light travels at equal distance from all areas of the screen giving uniformity. However I feel sorry for my wife when my friends come over to watch the football and shes relegated to the side sofa. lol

I think the Samsung curved would be more suited for surround than the LG because of the angle of the tilt and looks to have more of a severe curved radius.

But the Samsung would have to be debezelled!
You will be able to see the OLED Samsung debezelled here within the next couple of weeks with a step by step video. biggrin.gif

Now, Samsung, make a 29" 21:9 3360*1440 curved OLED monitor, and I'd start trowing money at my screen. drool.gif

I still am wondering what is so good about it being curved. The only thing I can think of that doing is drastically limited the viewing angle.

Does it some how allow for better visuals? Better 3D? What gives?

Now I just got to work out how I can justify it to the wife??????biggrin.gif

Do you think it would be good for PC gaming?
LOL Just imagined my wife is out in the living room starring at the 40" plasma from 2006 and I have one of these babys in the office for gaming. lolololol biggrin.gif[/quote]

....
It's easy... there seems to be a connection between a loss of eyesight and large flat panel TV watching due to the fatigue in the orbicular muscles trying to scan the whole panel simultaneously at varying angles - just made it up but you got the template.

So... here comes the curved panel whose angles are optimized for eye muscle comfort, less retinal stress, no more neck pain, live happily ever after thumb.gif
