down to three gpu?

Thread Starter
msi lightning gtx 780
galaxy hof gtx780
asus gtx 780 oc
now for me who does not plan on running my Your under water or ln2, which is the better made gpu?
there is also the zotac amp etion gtx 780 which is tied for the highest gpu clock speeds out of the box with the galaxy hof gyx780. I see there is a price gap between the lightning and the rest as it is clearly the gou for serious overclockers which I am not. I do like to oc my gpu, but to go for water or ln2 cooling is out of the question. so that being said I see a lot of great reviews for the galaxy hof 780 and the asus 780 as they are built with very good components etc...
I Dont think I can justify a 100-150 pruce premium for the lightning considering I won't be able to take advantage of the few extra extreme oc features.
i have never bought a zotac gpu, and yes the amp edition does have very out of ths nox clock speeds, but it doesnt seem to have a better componets than a reference gtx780.

the asus seems like its built very well along with the galaxy. so please if anyone has any inout to help me make the final choice between these gpus I would like to hear it. I Dont wanna hear that its overkill for the res I game at etc...
I am going with a gtx780 as I Dont want to wait another two months for a newer gou to drop as the prices will still be very high right?
than everyone in advance

1) The GTX 780 Lightning is out of stock and frankly will be for some time. It wouldn't matter if it was in stock because as you have said, you have no wish to seriously OC, so that would be a wasted purchase.
2) GTX 780 Galaxy HOF seems like a great card. I have had no prior experience with that card, but I've only heard great things from that card. It has a good OC out of the box, so in your situation, it seems like a good option.
3) I don't know much about the ASUS option. Sorry. redface.gif
Hope this helps.

I also agree with wstanci. The lightning is probably the best gtx 780 as far as overclocking features go but if you won't be doing any major overclocking any of the other cards are great choices. I don't believe any of these aftermarket cards offer any additional voltage adjustment so i would pick which ever is most visually pleasing, has the highest overclock out of the box, and whoever has the best customer support.
