Yea you have a single core too! When you say load, do you mean on Prime95 or Orthos? Because if I'm running SuperPi 1M, I never exceed 42C
Also, if you are using software that came with your mobo, it's probably inaccurate, as it is reading the temp from a diode in the pin input for the CPU. Dowload Speedfan or CoreTemp; these progs read directly from the integrated diode in the core. You can read about this diode in the socket 939 tech docs on amd.com.

Ok FM92 installed! So far I'm liking the results: idle @30 core0, core1 32, posting Orthos load temp after I adjust BIOS settings. BTW, just for the record: on my MicroGuru utillity, I am reading an idle of 27C......so get Coretemp to monitor and you will be safe!
***** the Arctic stock fan is CRAP!!!!! I am running Orthos right now with:
HT=250 MHz
VCore=1.40V
HTV=1.2V
my temps on core0 <= 44C
core1 <= 51C
That's around a 15C (max) temp loss! WOA BABY!
Ok well I OCed my FSB to 250 before work this morning, and I set Orthos running. 11 hours later, still going strong! LOL, my girlfriend came over and watched Seinfeld while it was running too, and she said that everything was running normal, even though I had the priority setting set to 9! %100 CPU on that setting.....and my temps maxed out at 51 on core 1. Now I'm going to up it to 260 and see what's up with that.

Did you get the other zip ties installed? Two of them will not line up with the holes right so they will be bent.

No, I still only have two on there. You're right though, they don't line up on one side.

And thats fine just bend them to line up. I should have mentioned it before but dont tighten them all down until all four are in then you can move the fan around to line it up to at least thread it. Then once you tighten it down they will bend but no biggie.

In my gallery if you wanna see how its threaded just click on the pic with the AC64 Pro its a huge pic so it zooms in pretty nice.

Ok I see that pic on your profile. The difference on mine is that I have the flat side running though the little parabolic space that the fan leaves when mounted on the black clip. I was wondering where you threaded the zipties once you ran them through the front of the fan clip. Also, did you remove that black clip when you installed the fan? Mine is staying on fine for now, it just looks kinda ghetto rigged. Not to mention that the zipties are only on one side, held by two ties. I am unsure how you used 8.....

Yes I removed the shroud then installed the fan. When I get home I will snap a pic of the backside of the shroud.

And I used four zip ties actually you just need 8 heads. You thread from back to front and the excess you cut off leaves a small nub which is annoying when on the backside as the fan doesnt fit too well. Also on the backsid ethere are grooves in which the zip tie heads fit in nicely.

One thing you can do is unscrew the clip and rotate it 90 degrees, depending on your board, so it can help with the airflow!

Ok I see what you're saying now! I thought that you were cutting off the fasteners ends and using the others, but you're just threading them and attaching the head only! Ok, I will be back to my apartment tommorow, and I will check it out. BTW, when I installed this cooler, it wasn't exactly centered, so more of the CPU is exposed on one side than the other. The cooler is designed to cover only some of the CPU according to the Arctic website, but I wonder if this is why I am getting temps on one core that exceed the other by 10C sometimes.......
I will be lapping when I get back if I have enough time, so we'll see.

if i go by my external thermal probe, then i'm at 25idle and 36 load.

but i don't, because i want actual and not approximate.
