Thread Starter
i have been wondering what to replace my old HTC Desire Z with. the basic requirements are android and physical keyboard.
i realise that the choice is somewhat limited, i was considering Motorola Droid 4 and Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G. although there are sites comparing hardware specifications, i have not found any definite recommendation which to choose.
Motorola
pro:
larger screen (540x960), LTE, HDMI, more popular (at least more posts on xda)
contra:
reportedly worse image quality, micro-SIM (i would have to cut my card), problems with battery replacement, weaker CPU, blocked bootloader

Samsung
pro:
generally everything that is 'contra' for Motorola
contra:
only 480x800, less popular (?)

which one to choose? is there anything else, better, i should consider?

yet another question:
i have encountered Motorolas described as 'bad esn' on e-bay, they are significantly cheaper (up to 50%). are they worth buying? they will not probably work in CDMA network, but would they work with a GSM SIM card in europe?
